Salinas
סלינס Salinas, It is the busiest city in Santa Elena and the main tourist site in the county.
El Canton Salinas, Located at the western end of Santa Elena County Santa Elena. Its cantonal head is the city of Salinas, which is at the western end of Ecuador.
Most of the tourists who come to its beaches come from the country’s main port, making it the closest beach to Guayaquil to visit.
The resort gets its name from its extensive salt mines.
It consists of beautiful beaches, excellent infrastructure, hotels, clubs, bars, restaurants, discos, shopping centers, supermarkets and even an airport.
Without a doubt, it is an entire metropolis on the western tip of the Santa Elena Peninsula.
climate
Like every resort on the coast of Ecuador, there are two seasons: the “beach season” which lasts from January to April and is when it is hottest and rainiest. Its average temperature is 29-33ºC.
Then there is the cold and dry season that lasts from May to December, and whose temperature is around 22 – 20 degrees Celsius. It’s not raining and it’s quite windy and cold.
